Ruparelia Foundation in partnership with Unilever, Crown Beverages, Lato Milk, The Dawa Foundation, Speke Resort Munyonyo, Kabira Country Club, Kampala Parents’ School, Kampala Kids Run, Victoria University and individual sponsors organized a Christmas party for over 600 underprivileged children from different communities.

The day-long party which took place at Kampala Parents School had children from Katanga Kids Project, Ezeza Foundation and Enjoy Center. Naiya Ruparelia, the Foundation's Trustee said the initiative is going to be held annually as a way of showing these less fortunate kids that they are loved.

Naiya called on Ugandans Ruparelia especially corporate companies to embrace the needy people in communities by giving back to them in various ways. Naiya, who was in the company of her husband Rajiv Ruparelia, said everybody has the capacity to give back in order to transform unfortunate Ugandans into better citizens.

“Whenever you are having fun, a meal during the Christmas period, let’s think about those who are unfortunate.  I urge Society to give back and everybody can give back in a small way,” Naiya said.

The main objective of the event, she said, was to bring disadvantaged children together in one place and have fun, a good time and get gifts. “Today we wanted to have a meal and build a relationship with them. We wanted them to have a memorable Christmas experience,” she said.

Naiya revealed that the Foundation is planning to implement numerous corporate social responsibilities activities in areas like environmental conservation, wildlife conservation, and education among others. The Foundation is already offering scholarships at Victoria University and Kampala Parents School.
